Ethically Made In Bangladesh
What if we could make durable products using timeless design principles while benefitting the communities where they are produced, cleaning the environment AND staying profitable in today's competitive market?
Meet The Tripty Project.
In 2013 The Rana Plaza Building collapsed in Gazipur, Bangladesh, killing nearly 1,200 people.
In response to the wreckage I witnessed while living in Bangladesh in 2013, I set out to create a company that would set the highest standards for design, sustainability and ethics in Bangladesh, the center of fast fashion production.
I was able create a dynamic, international brand by developing high quality products that users love while creating a rich story of the materials and people who created them.
The design, organizational, and messaging challenges involved in running a Bangladesh based ethical fashion brand were enormous. Each new project was an exercise in design thinking, iteration, and being open to unexpected, surprising solutions.
I blew through my Kickstarter by putting together an amazing campaign. Since then the company was featured in many publications including Fast Company and others.
Iām so proud of the success the company achieved. But, all good things come to an end and in 2016 I pivoted to start helping other companies realize their dreams of making amazing experiences for their customers.
